Solar Power System


Solar power systems (i.e. photovoltaic systems) consist of the solar module array (PV Array), the electricity regulator (including the inverter, the system controller and the parallel protection devices, etc.), electrical boxes, and batteries.
There are three types of systems depending on the application: can be on-grid system, off-grid system and hybrid system.


Selection of the systems should be done in accordance with the local power network supply situation:

1.With stable power network supply:

We recommend the use of a grid-connected power generation system (On-Grid System) since a stable power supply is already available. The power system can be used for an auxiliary power generation, whereby an excess supply of electricity can be sold back to local power plants.

2.Without power network:

We recommend the use of an Off-Grid System with batteries that can store electricity and can handle reasonable electrical loads. This system can provide stable power without the need for support from the electric grid.

3.With unstable power or intermittent power supply onsite:

We recommend the use of a hybrid power generation system (On-grid System with Batteries). During the day time, the PV system connects to the local power grid and stores electricity simultaneously. At night, the local power network becomes the main power supplier. By using a hybrid system, you will be assured of a stable power supply even in the face of intermittent power outages.

Locations and criteria for installing a PV power generation system:
1. Confirm whether the housing and the roof structure are able to support the solar power system
2. In the northern hemisphere, the panels should face south, whereas the opposite direction is recommended if they located in the southern hemisphere
3. Avoid placing heavy items on the solar panel surfaces
4. Avoid installing solar panels under the shade so as not to reduce their generation capacity
5. We recommend the inverters be installed indoors
6. We recommend installing software to monitor the system’s status
